I have been repairing Chatty Cathy dolls and reselling them privately and also on eBay. I have only recently branched off into doing customer repair work. My daughter Ginny has recently started helping me with the Chatty repairs and is very meticulous about her work. She is a great addition to my repair shop.
I would be happy to give you references from my customers. One thing stands out the most when they email me after receiving their dolls, they are extremely happy with the seams.
Updated Price list:
The # 1, 2, and 3 dolls have the black box speaker inside and the price for repairing them is $35.00
The # 4, is $35
The # 4 1/2 and # 5's are $30
The AA or African American Chatty's are: $40
If you have a question as to what doll # you have, please email me.
We will provide you with a new O ring, string, and a pull ring if needed.
If at all possible, we will repair your doll with existing parts inside her. If a replacement part is needed, I will contact you and inform you of the price of the part that is needed. We won't replace any parts without your approval.
The customer is responsible for shipping costs to and from my home. I charge actual shipping costs. Also we do require insurance on her return journey.
When sending a doll, please include a paper with your name, address and email address in the box. Please send her in a sturdy secure box so that her return journey will be a safe one.
These prices are for Chatty Cathy, Chatty Baby and Tiny Chatty Baby and brother.
Please send Chatty in a box suitable for her return journey. A box and packing supplies is an additional $5.00 if Chatty is not sent to me in a box big or sturdy enough to travel back home.
We also will provide other services for your doll:
Shampoo and curl hair: $10
Complete body cleaning: $10

We do our very best to repair each and every Chatty Cathy to talk as loud and clearly as possible. Chatty is a vintage doll and is fragile. Occasionally we will receive a doll that will not talk as well as we'd like her to.
Customer Satisfaction is our # one goal.
I accept paypal and money orders. Dolls will be shipped when money orders have cleared my account.
Chatty Makeover

We will clean your Chatty, wash and set her hair, repair her to talk, replace teeth if needed, remove gray from her face (early dolls), paint and seal her lips, and send her home in a beautiful new OOAK outfit by Tresa Fry.
